Situated in a historic hillside house overlooking the Middle Rhine Valley in western Germany, MIMAI Space grew out of a thoughtful restoration that preserved its domestic warmth. Over the years, it has evolved into a quiet retreat for editorial work, artistic research, and international dialogue—away from the demands of urban speed.

Today, MIMAI Space nurtures select publications, moving images, exhibitions, and sustained research. Its intimate, residential scale fosters deep concentration, meaningful exchange, and tailored project collaborations with invited artists, researchers, and cultural partners.

Current activities span editorial development, film research and pre-production, archival inquiries, project assemblies, and focused working stays. MIMAI Space does not function as a public venue or a standard residency; instead, its program unfolds organically around specific projects and long-term partnerships.
